This is just a short bit about the bike. It’s a 2003 Suzuki SV650, bought new, which I’ve put ridden around 35,000 miles (Dec. 2007). It’s the naked version with an aftermarket windscreen (I think made by National Cycle), Barsnake (thanks Dennis!) and GIVI hard luggage. I also had a DC power plug installed on the bike, mainly done by my friend, and former co-worker Mike McKnight. In addition, I have since added a Garmin direct-power wire kit, and a Garmin Streetpilot 2610 GPS, attached via RAM mounts. Pretty much everything else is stock, except for tires (Just installed Shinko 009 Ravens front and back, but tires usually changed every 10k or so).  I just had a new O-ring chain put on (11/07), my 3rd, and a new OEMish sprocket set, back to original gearing, and had the fork seals replaced (the right one was leaking).  I’ve also installed Touring grips and have one of the indispensable Catapillar O-ring’s for throttle locking.  And after several years of uncomfortable seating, during which I purchased a Corbin, and Seargent aftermarket seats.  I finally bought Suzuki’s Gel seat, and have been a happy camper ever since.
